Why Faith Christian School?

FCS Seeks to Honor God
The mission of Faith Christian School is to provide a Christ-centered classical education of academic excellence, spiritual depth, and moral integrity which will prepare students for godly participation in their society and promote loyalty to God and country.

FCS Is Rich Yet Unhurried
Our culture is hurried and greedy; more is never enough. Our world pressures children and families into a faster and more hectic pace of life, that has us running from one activity to the next. FCS seeks to be a place where children are free to be children, to learn as children, to play as children. A truly rich and intellectual education need not be rushed; there is so much to master, so much to enjoy at each age. It is important to us that we balance the demands of school and of family, leaving time for children to grow in academics, in the arts, in sports and recreation, and in the other opportunities their families choose to pursue. And it is vitally important that they have leisure to pursue their own interests and to play.

FCS Is Academically Excellent
Matthew 22:37-38 reads "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment." At FCS, we are seeking to nurture our students to love the Lord with all their mind by providing excellent academics. Our subjects are taught with a Christian worldview, not merely a solid academic education with a Bible class thrown in. The FCS student will develop a world view that integrates Christian faith and Scriptural truths with all areas of learning. The student will continually ask, 'How would Christ approach this situation?'

FCS Supports Christian Families
Scripture calls parents to be responsible for the education of their children. FCS comes alongside parents to assist them in this training. Students are encouraged to develop and nurture their spiritual walk; the three legged stool of church, family and school. We support the other two, not replace. When students are "in the world" for their academic training, it is difficult for the parent to reinforce Christian values and teaching each evening when the majority of the child's day has had a different focus. By the time graduation arrives, the student is equipped to participate in the expansion of Christ's kingdom, exercise Godly stewardship of creation and glorify God in every aspect of life.
