Ingrid Pierce


Literature and Creative Writing

Ingrid Pierce joined Faith Christian School in 2007 and teaches theology, creative writing and strings. She received a B.A. in English from Roanoke College and has done graduate work with the Reformed Theological Seminary. Ingrid has taught literature to home-schooled students, tutored and mentored college students, and traveled in Europe and Central America. She also co-founded a local writer's group and serves as the editor of an online literary journal.

Ingrid lives in Roanoke county and is a member of Sovereign Grace Community Church where she greatly enjoys the rich, Gospel-centered community. She plays the violin with the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra, Opera Roanoke, and a string trio, and teaches private violin lessons. Her interests include hiking, reading, writing poetry, running, traveling, organic gardening, dancing, and trying international foods.

Ingrid is thrilled to be part of the community at Faith Christian School, where academic excellence is united with the desire to magnify God.
