Tonya Meyer

Tonya Meyer is formally from Texas but her family chose to reside in the Roanoke valley after travelling the USA for 1 ½ years in a motor coach and homeschooling their daughter. She is a graduate from the University of Iowa with a B.S. in General Science. After a professional career in hazardous waste management, Community college workforce development, teaching assignments in Algebra and Biology, and most currently an interpretive park ranger for the National Park Service on the Blue Ridge Parkway, she is passionate about science and math. Her enthusiasm as a teacher is to see children develop a love of learning. Tonya Meyer is married to David and has one daughter Natalie who attends FCS. She enjoys spending time with her family in their log home out in the forest, reading, baking, and knitting. |
