Tobias Riggs
Latin and Hermeneutics

Tobias is a graduate of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, with a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies and Philosophy. Presently, he is completing an M.A. in Exegetical Theology through Covenant Theological Seminary in Saint Louis, Missouri. He joins the faculty of FCS with six years of experience teaching Latin, along with various Bible, logic and humanities courses. Tobias appreciates the capacity of young students to rise and meet head-on the intellectual challenges set before them, especially within a safe and encouraging environment, such as FCS. His passion as a teacher is to train young members of the Church to live intentionally, to identify and embrace their unique callings, and to engage culture as passionate, articulate and persuasive voices of truth. Tobias and his wife, Elizabeth, have two children, Ada and Machen, and are expecting their third in January. In his spare time he enjoys traveling with his family, reading all sorts of books, roasting coffee, learning to play the mandolin and making American Windsor chairs. Tobias and his family are thrilled to be joining the FCS community and look forward with great anticipation to life in the beautiful Roanoke valley. |
